I am an abolitionist and live these values in my therapy practice as well as in my family life, my relationships and my community organizing work. I am committed to examining how systems of oppression show up in my own mind, body and behaviors - a complex and ongoing process! Additionally, I strive to understand the ways in which the mental health field has historically perpetuated these systems of oppression, aiming to reduce and mitigate any potential for harm to those seeking my services.

I am autistic, non-binary and queer. I recognize that I benefit from multiple forms of privilege, including white privilege, thin privilege, able-bodied privilege and class privilege. I am dedicated to maintaining awareness of this positionality both in my daily life and in my work with clients.

In a world that often challenges us to conform, it's common to internalize beliefs that we are somehow inadequate as we are. This internal struggle can manifest as feelings of shame, resentment, hopelessness, and loneliness.

Who would you be if you had the freedom to be your authentic self?

About

Kendra

COMPASSIONATE SUPPORT ON YOUR JOURNEY TOWARDS PERSONAL
AND COLLECTIVE LIBERATION

Choosing to embark on a path towards healing is a powerful act of resistance. It affirms that you deserve a life rooted in true dignity and freedom. When you turn inward and address what needs attention, you begin to loosen the hold that trauma, your past, and systems of oppression have over you. You begin to feel more at ease, more authentic and more free. As you heal, your inner transformation will radiate outwards and can help change the world. When you find alignment within, you will engage more fully in the well-being of others and the collective.

Outside of the office, I enjoy diving into my special interests which currently include reading about politicized somatics and spirituality, practicing yoga, organizing with other values-aligned mental health workers, going to punk shows, attending protests and making potions in the backyard with my kids.
